Ellis McEntire is a painter, printmaker and educator. She graduated Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Fine arts, concentration in drawing, and earned a Masters in Art Education from The University of Georgia.
Finding inspiration from Henri Matisse, Jean Miro and Pablo Picasso, Ellis combines simplified shapes and colors inspired by nature. She is inspired by animals, both wild and domestic, and mythical creatures. Using an etching press, Ellis creates collagrapic prints that often include collage and Chine Collé
